Space exploration game Elite: Dangerous will add Fisher’s Rest, a memorial outpost to Carrie Fisher, in its 2.3 update, according to a forum post by Executive Producer Michael Brookes. The Star Wars actress passed away at the age of 60 this week.
Last New Year’s I was sick, so I skipped the parties and played through all of Wolfenstein: The New Order. It ruled. I might run outside without a coat and see if I can have a repeat this year.
We don’t always play games the way we’re supposed to. We’ve all pulled out that little trick that helps us get through a tough area, beat a boss, or get a higher score. It might not be turning on God Mode in the developer console or using an aimbot, but it’s not quite on the level either. But it’s fine. It’s not cheating. Right?
There’s an interesting range of games in PlayStation Plus’ lineup next month. Most exciting to me is The Swindle, a steal ‘em up platformer I enjoyed a lot on PC. There’s also This War of Mine: The Little Ones, which adds what I’m sure is heart-wrenching content to an already heart-wrenching game.

Hitman’s 16th Elusive Target, The Guru, will be available in Sapienza for 7 days beginning December 16. If you can’t wait that long for new Hitman stuff, today’s holiday mission should tide you over.
It’s the weekend! I’ve had a heck of a week and am looking forward to only emerging from my bed when I absolutely have to. Though I also just got an iPad, which means I could technically play FTL in bed, so leaving bed at all is up for grabs.
