We may be waiting a long time for the next big Deus Ex game. The developers of the iconic franchise have moved on to other big franchises, according to sources speaking both to Kotaku and other outlets. Sources say Eidos Montreal has cancelled a planned sequel to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, which came out last year.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s Breach mode is now available as a free-to-play standalone game on Steam. Breach is an arcade-style spinoff of Mankind Divided’s stealth and hacking mechanics.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s next DLC, “A Criminal Past,” will be available February 23. The DLC will take place in “an augs-only, high-security prison in Arizona.”

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a pretty good video game. I like many things about it. It is beautiful. I haven’t predicted where the story’s going yet. I get a kick out of running errands for people. Some of the quests have me genuinely unsure what decision to make.
