After last weekend’s Rainbow Six Siege Invitational and lots of recent action in the world of CS:GO, it’s back to the land of MOBAs with big games across League of Legends, Dota 2, and Heroes of the Storm, but with one minor exception: the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Atlanta Open.
Taking a break from CS:GO and Call of Duty, this weekend belongs to Rainbow Six Siege, a tactical shooter still looking for its place in the world of competitive gaming that will get a big boost from this weekend’s Invitational in Canada.

This weekend marks the end of the first World Electronic Sports Games finals, with several tournaments across Dota 2, Hearthstone, and more featuring giant prize pools thanks to the event’s deep-pocketed organizers.
The last Intel Extreme Masters event of the year is taking place this weekend in Gyeonggi, Korea, featuring a host of tournaments ranging from StarCraft II to Overwatch. But there’s lots of action this weekend to be found in the ELEAGUE for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as well as little mobile game called Clash Royale.
As the year draws to a close, most of the bigger competitive gaming events of the year are behind us. All except for one: Dota 2‘s Boston Major. After a number of roster shuffles and evolutions to the game’s meta following the summer’s International 2016, the Boston Major is a chance for new teams to establish themselves going into the winter and the groundwork for a new competitive landscape to be laid prior to the game’s next big patch.
